Hannah Nugent (she/her) completed a foundation year at Edinburgh College 2013-2014 before graduating from GSA in 2018 where she studied Painting and Printmaking. She currently lives and works in Edinburgh.

Hannah’s practice uses abstraction to playfully explore the translation of mark making across digital and physical mediums. Working with paint, printmaking and animation she creates colourful works that are inspired by a range of stimuli from retro games and weird fictional environments to pop music videos. Through the processes of drawing and digital collage, Hannah creates compositions that explore memory, nostalgia and imagined future spaces.
