hubCAP Gallery is delighted to present 2D6, an annual exhibition showcasing the creativity, experimentation and emerging artistic voices of students from Edinburgh College’s Contemporary Art Practice (CAP) programme.

Organised by the student-led hubCAP Gallery Committee, the exhibition brings together a diverse collection of two-dimensional artworks created by first and second year CAP students during the opening weeks of the academic year. Working across drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media and expanded approaches to contemporary practice, the exhibiting artists offer a rich snapshot of ideas, processes and creative exploration.

As one of the first exhibitions of the academic year, 2D6 introduces new students to exhibiting within a gallery setting while providing returning students with an opportunity to build upon and share their developing practices. The exhibition reflects the energy, ambition and collaborative spirit that define the Contemporary Art Practice community at Edinburgh College.
